The Price Engineering Training (PET) is accredited for 10 Professional Development Hours.

In recognition of International Women in Engineering Day 2024, this special PET training class is meant for women. Class sessions will focus on air distribution fundamentals and applications of the Price product offering.

Attendees will have the opportunity to choose from a variety of elective sessions on the key technologies that they are most interested in learning about. Elective sessions cover more specific topics such as healthcare design or acoustic analysis, which are not always critical for all engineers to attend depending on their background, focus, and experience. Engineers that complete this program will leave with a superior understanding of foundational air distribution theory and the application of new technologies.

Dedicated Outdoor Air Systems (DOAS) have gained significant traction as a prominent HVAC solution of preference because of their ability to offer superior ventilation performance and occupant thermal comfort. Furthermore, energy code requirements have further incentivized the use of DOAS considering their energy efficiency potential. Of the different forms of DOAS air distribution, the utilization of series fan powered chilled water terminals or series fan powered DOAS is quickly becoming one of the most popular. Due to its swift rate of acceptance, series fan powered chilled water terminals are commonly misunderstood and misapplied: this includes how different unit options and configurations impact performance. In this presentation the product, its applications, and applicable accessories and options will be reviewed with the intent to optimize equipment performance and selection.
