The Maryland/District of Columbia APPA Chapter is holding its Fall Educational Program on October 20, 2023 at Montgomery College's Rockville Campus.
The event will feature two educational sessions - one on fleet electrification given by Alicia Brissett of Enterprise Fleet Management, and one on improving indoor air quality while reducing energy use, given by Ted Vergis of enVerid and Tim Dorman of Havtech.
Additional highlights include a business meeting, elections, networking breaks, and lunch. The program aims to provide facilities and fleet management professionals with insights on sustainability, operations, and emerging technologies. Registration closes on October 9th.
Course covers how to properly install and start up Daikin Ductless systems using preferred servicing equipment and procedures.
This course will cover the fundamentals of MicroTech III and Daikin Rebel; providing an introduction into the Daikin Applied MicroTech III controllers, and best practices for proper installation and service of Daikin Rebel High Efficiency rooftop units.
Course covers the introduction, applications, and installation instructions for the Daikin FIT residential inverter air conditioning units. Topics covered are nomenclature, unit features, inverter technology and components, inverter benefits, boost mode, and indoor unit options. Also covered are commissioning procedures that include the ComfortNet installation and setup, charge mode, start-up, and the required system test.
Training covers basic operation of Daikin VRV Heat pump and heat recovery systems, proper routine maintenance procedures, and use of emergency function until a service call can be scheduled. As part of the training, a discussion on features and functions of the current Daikin remote controllers and the intelligent touch manager (iTM) is included.
