The COVID-19 pandemic has raised awareness of the importance of indoor air quality and how effective ventilation can prevent the spread of aerosols. Traditional approaches to ventilation use large inefficient systems, while decentralized solutions can improve air quality, reduce carbon footprint and easily integrate with VRV technology.
Course covers best practices for the proper installation of Daikin VRV systems and discusses VRV project management, the Daikin Express design document that is specific for every job and piping and wiring of indoor and outdoor units on heat pump and heat recovery systems. In addition, participants will learn about Daikin D-III Net wiring and system component addressing along with proper maintenance and service access.
Course covers Daikin’s VRV System Overview & Control Logic as well as the operation, proper installation and commissioning of Daikin's Local Remote Controllers, Multi-Zone Controllers, Open Protocol Interfaces and Adapters.
Air curtains create a controlled stream of air across a door or window opening, providing significant energy savings to building owners and helping to maintain interior building temperatures. In addition, some have optional features that can clean and sanitize the air near the opening. This course examines additional features that some models offer in the form of airborne pathogen and virus control and irradiation to help manage the virus level and the disbursement of untreated air near the opening. This course examines how air curtains can reduce airborne pathogens and viruses and improve the indoor air quality near the opening and the various technologies to eradicate and/or collect pathogens, how and when to operate air curtains operate and properly identify applications to maximize the disinfection of the air near the opening.
Course covers proper programming and commissioning of Daikin’s iTM Controller. Students will configure and address indoor units, build schedules, Areas and Interlocks. They will also upgrade firmware and setup remote access on live controllers.
