This course will enhance participants’ knowledge and understanding of ASHRAE 62.1 standards for ventilation and indoor air quality (IAQ) in commercial buildings, with a focus on the Indoor Air Quality Procedure (IAQP) as a cost-effective, energy-efficient approach to IAQ. It includes practical guidance on applying the IAQP, referencing ASHRAE’s tools and research, and covers design details and air cleaning equipment ratings.
With recent state code updates requiring deeper understanding of ASHRAE 62.1-2019 and 62.1-2022, this course prepares participants to apply IAQP confidently. Benefits include increased alignment with LEED v5 standards, support for value engineering (V/E), improved HVAC efficiency, enhanced air quality, and insight into ASHRAE’s endorsement of IAQP as the preferred ventilation design method.
